The research has
lasted for more than 20 years. Starting from the process of mechanism research,
through the long-term systematic field trials:
it was found that controlling the soil matric potential at
characteristic point can effectively control water status in crop root zone,
and established the relationships between the soil matric potential and the
growth, water consumption of more than 20 kinds of crops, and proposed water
management method for drip irrigation farmland.
it was found in arid area when the soil matric potential at
characteristic point was controlled at a certain threshold, the salt leaching
can be well achieved, and put forward the method of water and salt regulation
and precision fertigation for drip irrigation. the "household",
"group" and "unified" irrigation models for three different
types of users were established; filter system, fertilizer injector system and
control systems, soil moisture monitoring devices and other key equipment were
innovated; sets of "hardware" and "software" integrated
products and technology were developed.
The technology is international self-contained. It is simpl e, easy to
operate, water saving and yield increasing. The application shows that 35 to
63% water can be saved, 16 to 50% yield can be increased, and 110 to 190 yuan
was saved per mu per year in production costs.
